Stolen from ~The-Mad-Poet, because I thought I might as well use this journal for something useful every once in a while. So comment if you want to be featured :-].

Browsing through Mad Poet's gallery, trying to pick out 4 pics that you could be comfortable with saying are his best work is kind of like being 5 and walking into a room full of G1 Transformers toys, and not being able to take all of them home with you. But lord knows, Ive tried :V.
Dreamscape
There are no words to describe how absolutely gorgeous and intricate this picture is. If the detail and numerous fairytale references don't kill you, the fact that all of this was drawn with a ballpoint pen surely will (and yes, I realize that ballpoint pens are perfectly legitimate artistic tools; it's just that seeing pics like this blows me away every time because I can't even write properly in ballpoint).
Buddies
Anyone whos ever chatted with me about Yugimonz-related matters knows that Im an absolute sucker for the whole yu-jyo thing, and this pic is pretty much the embodiment of it. Beware of the SWEET. Its like eating 10000 chocolates.
Like Sunlight, But Greyscale
I was never a huge fan of GX, but if it had art style like this, lemme tell you, Id be wacthing it till my eyeballs fell out. A beautiful rendition of what Asuka might look like if she were 3-D.
Lady Marmalade
Two words. DOSE LEGS. Looking at this picture is like reading a dirty French novel, only even sexier.
2.
If you want robots, this is the place to go.
Gundam Gal
I'm a huge sucker for Gundam robots, so this was, naturally, a treat. A very elegant homage to a legendary design and it's a lady-bot. How awesome is that? Personally, I love the curves; pittstop is very good at drawing female robots.
colour robot wyvern
Another interesting robot design with beautiful colors to boot. Absolutely love the detail and the way the colors blend.
pumpkin robot against black
One word: LOL. I want a toy of this so badly.
alien bug
The title says it all, and boy does it not disappoint. Again, amazing details and a great pose. It's like something out of Starship Troopers, and I don't compare things to Starship Troopers lightly.
3.
He Did It
Apparently, even Optimus Prime is not above pointing fingers. And somehow, I don't think a soap dispenser Transformer would be too weird, considering all the crazy shit the TF franchise has pumped out in the last 20 years. Short and to the point, this pic is pure lulz.
Thall Shalt Not Whine
I'm pretty much an invalid when it comes to needle work, so I can't help being impressed when someone displays skillz in that department. The fact that the caption is entertaining is just an added bonus.
When No One is Looking
This lady looks kind of like a mermaid. That can only be a good thing. I love how puffy and silky her hair looks, and her facial expression is rather intriguing.
4.
YU-GI-SNOW
A snowman Yugi, need I say more? Wish I thought of this last winter.
I will not let Sakura die
I'll admit, I neither watch Naruto, nor am I an expert on cosplay, but these costumes are just damn fine. I love the choice of fabrics and the level of detail, and the composition of this photo relays the title message rather well, if I do say so myself.
Yami and Yugi
The first thing that hit me when I looked at this was how, er... Takahashi-accurate the drawing style is. Sure, it's nice to see different interpretations of Yugioh designs in fanart, but the manga look will always be closest to my heart, which is why I absolutely love this pic. Atem's trademark cocky smile is just priceless.
5.
My talented compatriot. So many gorgeous pics to choose from, it's both awesome and frustrating.
Bang Bang
This is the pic that made me fall in love with Mavko's art style. Aside from the pose and the expression, which are nothing short of crazyawesomecool, the desaturated colors and the strong shading really provide the extra punch. I don't know why, but every time I look at this pic, I just think "Quentin Tarantino."
Ronin Crusader
The coloring of this pic is absolutely amazing. It's hard to believe how much detail was brought out by using only three tones of shading. I also love how the background puts the character in the spotlight and provides a mysterious atmosphere to the whole piece. Authentic comic book look.
Teddy Bear Psycho cover
A title like this doesn't really need any explanation, but I'll throw in my two cents either way. The warm (hot?) colors really flesh out the creepiness of this piece. The background is crazy detailed, yet it doesn't interfere with the focus of the picture and well, commenting on the teddy would really be unnecessary.
The Real Mr. Hankey
Holy shit! Seriously D:.
6.
landscape
I love colored pencils. I love nicely done landscapes even more. But what I love the most about this pic is the texture of the grass and the reflections on the water surface. A perfectly peaceful day at the park ^_^
Cd-Cover-v1
And over here we have a jolly bunch of rappers (or so I think). I was checking out this cover as it was still a work in progress, and I have to say the final product did not disappoint. I like the urban feel of the picture. Yeees.
strange bees
This sort of made me go WTF, but then I lol'd. Cowboys riding bees through the suburbs and the head of a guy who looks like the twin brother of the man in American Gothic? You bet.
7.
All you Yugifags out there need to check this out, if you haven't already. The doctor commands it. And because Horoko's art usually leaves me in a state of WTFHOWDOYOUDOTHATDAMNYOU? because of the awesome, excuse me if the following comments seem less than coherent.
Aki
The resident rich bitch from Yugimonz 5D's poses for Playboy. Only she's not naked. And it's not Playboy. Still, very smexy. Especially if you get off on cards.
Seriously, though, the pose is terrific.
EDIT: Just in, Moar Smexy Aki, now with 65% more emo.
Jolyne Again
I haven't read JoJo's bizzare adventure, but damn if Horoko's fanart doesn't make me want to do it NAO. Not much to say about this, except how smoking hot it is.
Yusei Fudo Sketch
The most angular portrait of Yuusei I've ever seen. AND HE HAS A :3 FACE. Aaaw.
And last, but not least, I AM PIMPING THIS YUGIMONZ FAN MANGA. It is awesome and needs moar love. It also features a lot of tits and humor. Actually, I'm not so sure about tits, but I'm hoping they'll come along soon :V.
8.
A Ghost of Misa
Double Flash, appareatly, good. I like the unusual lighting effect on this one. I also like the costume. I think it has something to do with he fact that I really really dug the goth style when I was younger, but even if you disregard my personal taste, this photo is still damn cool.
Grey City
Dutch angles make for great things. I don't know why exactly, but this reminds me of Terminator 2. That's a huge compliment coming from a Terminator phag like myself.
Two Can Come Together
Awww. Just awww. I wish I could be more eloquent, but just... awwww. <3
9.
Another talented compatriot of mine :-].
Badass Penguin
It's a penguin. And it's badass. And it's got a Hawaiian shirt and looks like the penguin Che Guevara. What more is there to say? Seriously, tho, I really like the comic book feel of this. The kind of Franco-Belgian comic books I grew up on. Luv <3
Zombie Tiem
Who likes zombies? No one, that's who, but they make for awesome art material. Again, that lovely comic book feel. Mmmm. Love the nose because, well, I'm slowly going back to appreciating non-anime manly noses. The teeth are a nice touch, too.
Pai Mei
Pai Mei is awesome in any shape and form. I hope everyone in the world agrees on this. Anyway, this is a great T-shirt design. I'd wear it. And so would you.
Samefag
Just for lulz, and because this pic opened my eyes. IT REALLY IS SAMEFAG, YO.

(with due apologies for missing your comment the first time around
In the Absence of Light
There something that instinctively drew me to click on this when I saw the thumbnail, and lemme tell you I wasn't the least bit disappointed. It's clean, simple and to the point. Very nice glow effect, too.
Sunrise Spirits
I guess what I like the most about this comic page is the backgrounds. I find it absolutely necessary for the reader to have a sense of the environment where the scene is taking place, which is something that is unfortunately rarely seen in webcomics.
Mr.Knowitall
This is just lovely. Lovely expression, lovely pose, lovely hat, lovely background. Well, you get the picture.
In the Rain
I won't deny that I was drawn to this because of title, which also happens to be the title of one of my favorite songs from Cowboy Bebop. Like the song, this pic is cool and kind of melancholic. Again, love the hat XD.
11.
Yet another talented anime artist hailing from my homeland. If sum sexy guy art is what you're after, make sure to check her out ;-].
After the Rain
So cute and romantic, there are no words. I just love the shading on the couple's clothes, and the fact that their faces are colored, whereas everything else is shades of green really lends that extra punch.
Melting
Exquisite use of color and textures in this image. And then there's the teddy bear. Awww <3.
P-a-s-s-i-o-n
Who likes beaded necklaces and butterflies? The hair is gorgeous, as is typical of Panshi.
Leave out all the rest
My absolute favorite. The pose, the colors, the texture, it all blends into one big puddle of win and awesome. I'd talk more about the piece if I could only stop staring at it for long enough.
12.
Lies and Redemption
First of all, the lighting in this pic is very nice, indeed. Second of all, there's something extremely funny about the way the guy on the left is sort of smirking while the guy on the right is extremely pissed off. Way to capture the moment.
Heroes: Thunderbird pg.1
I'll admit, I never did get into Heroes, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate delicious fanart of it. The drawing style in this comic is somewhat on the realistic side, which is always a treat to see when done right. Also, the first panel in the last row has a killer palette.
Nathan Petrelli: Fallen Hero
Look at the detail on his features. Look at it!
